Alden Jones is an interdisciplinary writer-researcher with a PhD in Creative Practice from the Transart Institute at Liverpool John Moores University. She offers lectures, conversations, and short-term educational programming on topics related to literature and its future, writing craft, creative writing as a research method into the self, ethical travel, and the psychological and cultural benefits of a reading practice. Her teaching expertise has been cited by Teen Vogue, the Christian Science Monitor, and the Associated Press; recent podcast appearances include The Faculty Lounge, Slate’s Outward podcast, and Alyssa Milano’s Sorry Not Sorry. She is on the Fulbright Specialist roster as an expert in creative writing pedagogy until 2027 with current programming in development at Kampu-Mera publishing house in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
